Dr Oziemski - Profile

Dr Margaret Oziemski graduated in Medicine from Melbourne University in 1986 and entered the Dermatology Fellowship training programme after working for a year as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Melbourne Hospital on a rare form of skin cancer, Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma.
She obtained her Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 1994 and has been a practicing Dermatologist since involved in private practice. She moved to Queensland with her family in 1995 from Victoria and maintains a busy private dermatology practice in Brisbane as well as caring for her family.
She has an active role in education of her patients and professional bodies including general practitioners, dermatologists, medical students and the wider community regarding sun awareness especially in our Queensland sun and regarding the importance of regular skin examinations.
During her undergraduate years she was awarded the following scholarships and prizes to assist in her education or for travelling overseas to undertake further study at St Thomas Hospital London:

Paul Eddington Memorial Fellowship from Skin and Cancer Foundation Victoria - (Paul Eddington of “Yes Minister” television series was diagnosed with Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma when visiting Melbourne and the Foundation created the Fellowship to remember him and to foster research and education in diseases of the skin).
